It’s good to hear that you’re thinking of taking up yoga! I thrive on my yoga class – it’s not a cardio workout by any stretch of the imagination (or hamstrings! hehe) but it leaved me feeling so calm and ready for the week ahead. If I were to do pilates (and I really, really wish I could make the class in Saltaire, but I can’t), it would be something completely different from the yoga.
I’ve only attended one pilates class and it was HARD. It really focuses on strength, and you discover muscles that you never even imagined you could have! By all accounts it’s a fantastic thing to take on – why don’t you see if you can drop in to a session and try it out?
